All Occasion Card Set

This weekend I was lucky enough to spend time in my craft room doing what I do best...making cards. Since my stash of all occasion greeting cards was running low, I decided to whip up a batch to have on hand.

The card set I made today uses the Die Cuts with a View glitter paper pack and coordinating cardstock, along with stamps from Inkadinkado and Hero Arts. The designer paper and cardstock is a stash of supplies I've had in my craft room for months.

I must admit, I like many of us papercrafters am guilty of being a paper hoarder. Sometimes it is just really hard for me to use those pretty packs of paper. However, I was able to overcome my condition and use one of the beautiful sheets of designer paper and one of the sheets of the coordinating blue cardstock to make this all occasion greeting set.

Masculine Birthday

Masculine cards have always been a challenge for me. Mostly because there are not a lot of designer stamps on the market made to create masculine cards. Typically the stamps that are designed to create masculine cards are generally ones I do not like.

So since I don't really own too many masculine stamps, I decided to use a generic, gender neutral stamp to create this somewhat manly birthday card.  The birthday balloons stamp comes from the lovely creators at Stampendous and the sentiment is from Hero Arts.

To make the patterned background, I used strips of scrap cardstock in the colors of blue, orange, and red and laid them diagonally across a base piece of white cardstock. Then I ran the completed cardstock through my Cuttlebug machine using the Stampin Up lattice embossing folder layered to create this inlaid embossed background paper.

I found this card very simple and easy to make. The inlaid embossing technique is quite fun. It just may become one technique I use more often in my clean and simple projects.

Thanks for stopping by today.
