Hi Stampers,

Keeping up with my schedule of blogging 3 times a week I am a little late posting today since I am just now returning home from Atlanta.  Although I love my home state of Michigan, Georgia really does have some nice perks. The city and surrounding suburbs of Atlanta are just beautiful.  I have visited the ATL a few times in the last year and I can honestly say Atlanta is one place outside of Detroit I could truly call my home. I am not saying I am relocating, but if I was given the right opportunity to live and work in Atlanta, I would certainly seize the moment.

Well enough gibber and on to today's card design. Continuing the theme of simple and beautiful, today's card creation is a nursery theme card using the Easy Events stamp set. The Easy Events stamp set is a great set of images that can be used for various occasions, such as Birthday, Thinking of You, Congratulations, New Baby, Thank You and more. I often recommend this set since  truly provides a lot.

Today's card uses the Welcome Baby image of a duck, which is stamped in Stazon Black ink three times to create a series of ducklings. Each duck was then colored with Bashful Blue, Baja Breeeze, Daffordil Delight and Pumpkin Pie markers. The color combination of this card does indicate the New Baby is a boy, however,  this card can be made using a combination of pinks and yellows to give this card design a feminine touch.

Hope you've enjoyed this simple yet beautiful card design. If you liked this blog post and would like to learn more about the joys of stamping, tune in tomorrow for another card creation.

Until then, Happy Stamping!!

Monthly Stamping Party

Hey there stampers,

I know it has been ages since I've updated my blog and I sincerely apologize for the delay between posts. Blogging is something I need to get better at doing.

I am making a conscience effort to post more often. How frequent that will be is still to be determined, but the goal is at least 3 times a week. So for now lets just see how everything goes.

Anyhoo, yesterday was my monthly stamping party, where a bunch gals and I get together for a few hours and stamp 6 different all occasion greeting cards. Here is a sample of 3 of the cards we made. Aren't they cute!  My favorite is the Stippled Blossoms card showcased on the right. The color combination of Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral, paired with the Crumb Cake just makes me smile. Not only did thus card win my heart, but it was a favorite among many of the ladies as well.

My second favorite of the day was the sympathy card using Stampin' Up!'s Love and Sympathy stamp set. I love the simplicity of black and white, and with a strip of red this sympathy card really is stunning.

If you've enjoyed these samples and would like to learn how to make simple and beautiful cards just like these, e-mail me at craftingelegance@gmail.com for details. If you live in the Metro Detroit and/or surrounding areas and would like to attend my next stamping party coming up in September, join my mailing list to receive party invitations.

Until next time,
Happy stamping!

Blog Hop Triple Treat

Hey Stampers!

Welcome to the 3rd and final day of the Glitter Queens blog hop.
First and foremost I want to say thank you to each and everyone of you who have visited with us this week and left comments. This hop could not have happen without your participation. To help make our blog hops better, please post a comment below of tips and suggestions. Your feedback is very much appreciated.

Continuing with the retiring theme, today's card creations are showcasing the Triple Treat Flower stamp and the 5 Petal Flower punch, which are both retiring on May 31st. Doesn't this card just make you want to smile. The bold bright colors of tempting turquoise, melon mambo, and so saffron instantly make me think of summer. The base of the flower was made using the Flower Fancy punch, while the focal point petals were stamped, embossed, and cut out using the 5-Petal Flower punch.  The leaves on this card came from the Bird Builder punch and the sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp set.

My second card creation is a a card I made last year using the Always Elegant stamp set that too is retiring. I absolutely love and adore this creation. Such a a beauty and perfect for weddings and anniversary occasions.  Be sure to order your Always Elegant stamp set while supplies last.

I really hope you all have enjoyed the Glitter Queens, blog hop.

I {Heart} Hearts

Hey there stampers and welcome to another Glitter Queens Blog Hop. From now until Friday, April 27th, members from Dawn Griffith's Glitter Queens team will be showcasing to you our beautiful stamp projects.  If you have been following the blog tour lineup, then you have just come from Cely Havens inspiring blog. Weren't her projects cute?

This week all of my blog posts for this hop will be focusing on the Stampin' Up! Retired Lists. Each  day I will feature two stamp sets that are retiring and provide you with a sample card for each set.

My first project is a quick and easy card using the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set and the Heart to Heart Punch.  This card uses chocolate chip and crumb cake card stock for the base. Along with strips of real red, more mustard, old olive and bashful blue card stock for the stamped and punched hearts. The sentiment comes from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. This card can be used for any occasion, including valentines day, wedding, anniversary, or even as a simple love note.  The design is very gender neutral, which allows it to be given to either a male or a female recipient.

For my second project, I have another quick and easy card featuring the Ain't Love Grand hostess stamp set and the Big Top Birthday Designer's Series Paper, which are both retiring at the end of May. The sentiment on this card is so fitting, since I will be missing many of the stamps and accessories that are featured on the Retired Lists.

Celebrate Spring

Good Morning and Happy Friday!
Glad you could join me today. Spring is in full effect here in Michigan. Temperatures have been in the high 70's for the last few days and has been certainly well enjoyed. To celebrate the onset of spring, today's card creation is a bright and cheerful card showcasing the beautiful Greenhouse Garden two step stamp set.
Don’t you just love two-step stamping! I know I do. Stampin’ Up makes several adorable stamp sets that allow you to create the two step stamping technique. To make today’s card, I took one of the solid image flowers inked it up with my Pool Party ink pad, then lightly inked only the edges of the stamp with my Elegant Eggplant stampin write marker.  After stamping the solid flower image onto my whisper white cardstock, I then took the coordinating outline stamp from the set, inked that image with my elegant eggplant ink pad and stamped right over the solid flower, creating an intricate yet detailed floral image.
To get the perfect placement of the outlined image over the solid image, I used my trusty stampin’ ma-jig to assist me with this task. The stamapin ma-jig is a must have tool for any avid stamper.  To ensure that your stamped image is exactly where you want it be every time, the stampin ma-jig is a must have tool for you.

The sentiment is also stamped in elegant eggplant and comes from the sincere salutations stamp set.
I hope you've enjoyed today's card creation. Tune in next week for some more stamping inspiration.

Hope you enjoy your weekend.
Until next time, happy stamping!

Stampin Up! Field Flowers

Hey Stampers!

Today I decided to explore my creativity with the beautiful two-step stamp set Field Flowers. If you are not familiar with Stampin' Up!'s two step stamping technique, this is where you first take the solid image of the stamp set, which in this case is the petals of the flower and stamp that image first. Then next you  take the outline image of the petals, and stamp that right on top of the solid image. And there you have a detailed hand stamped flower, using the fun and easy technique of two-step stamping.

The color combination used in today's card is Pretty in Pink, Real Red, Certainly Celery and Chocolate Chip. All of these colors coordinate very well together to create a very shabby chic design.

Pink is one of my favorite colors and often times it is my go to cardstock whenever I stamp.  I love the combination of Pink and Brown so much that I typically have to stop myself from creating so many cards with these two colors. But as you can see, today I just couldn't help myself. LOL!

Join me tomorrow as I showcase another Stampin' Up! creation.
Until next time, Happy Stamping!

Medallion Love

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday!

It's time for another day of inspiration from the Crafting Elegance stamping studio. Today's card uses both the Medallion and the Sincere Salutations stamp that can be found in the 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalog.  These two stamp sets are quite popular and when paired together can create a stunning yet clean and simple design. Although Pink and Brown is my favorite color combination, I also heart the classic color scheme of black and white.

Because I am in the need of making a bunch of all occasion cards for a few customers, I  thought this design would be simple and elegant enough to mass produce. Hope you agree.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Happy Stamping!

I'm Back!!

Hey there stampers!

I know I have not posted to this blog in quite some time, since October 2011 to be exact, and I sincerely apologize to all my followers for my absence. So much has been going on with me that I just did not have time to manage the blog as well as keep up with the constant changes that were occurring in my life. But the waters of life have calmed and I am back in full swing, ready to post more beautiful projects for your viewing enjoyment.  I have missed all of you dearly along with the wonderful comments you leave at the end of each post.

With getting back into the swing of stamping, I decided to pull out my Just Believe stamp set and create a clean and simple card today.  Also I decided to try a color combination that I would have never guessed would be so elegant. Today's card uses Sahara Sand and Bravo Burgundy cardstock and ink, and boy do these two colors look stunning together. Next time your stamping try this color combination is is even more beautiful in real life

See you again tomorrow for another clean and simple card design.

Until next time, Happy Stamping!
