Blossom Flower Petals

Today's gorgeous card samples both use one of my favorite punches from Stampin' Up! The Blossom Petals stamp set and punch were first introduced during the release of the 2011 Occasions mini catalog. These item are still available to purchase as one of the carryover items in the 2011 Summer mini catalog. From the examples today, you can see this punch allows you to create three demensional flowers in a variety of styles.

The flowers on the first card sample uses two of the largest petals from the punch with one of the petals top cut off and the edges of the petal sponged with ink. The stems of the flowers were cut freehand and the leaves were punched out using the thin petal on the actual punch.

The flowers on the second card sample also use the largest petals of the punch but are not manipulated in anyway. Simply ink three large petals using the Blossom Petals stamp then punch out the images to form the gorgeous flower. Punch out out your leaves, then attach two buttons to the center of your flower and you are done.  Simple, elegant and fun. For the listing of supplies used to make tis card please check out my supplies list below.

Hope you enjoyed today's card sample. Don't forget to leave me a comment.
